Useful before commercial.
GardenWorkbench content should help a reader make a better decision even if they never click a product link.
How we research
We begin with the reader's decision, not a product list. We compare the intended search question with existing coverage, identify constraints such as space, light, water and budget, and use official or independently verifiable sources for factual claims.
How we write product guidance
We distinguish manufacturer specifications, official guidance, owner feedback and editorial observations. We do not invent prices, stock, compatibility, ratings, firsthand testing or delivery claims. When a fact may change, we use a verification instruction instead of presenting it as permanent.
Images and attribution
Meaningful images receive contextual alternative text and visible source credit where required. Downloaded image files may be cleaned of embedded metadata for privacy and file hygiene, but metadata cleaning does not prove ownership, remove platform provenance or replace a rights review.
Translations
Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese pages are written for their audiences rather than copied line by line from English. Spanish pages retain the intended US context where relevant. Brazilian Portuguese pages use Brazilian wording, metric units and local growing context. A translated page should not contain leftover English paragraphs.
Updates and corrections
We will review time-sensitive product, provider and policy information before publication and after material changes. If a factual error is confirmed, we will correct the page and record the reason when useful. The site does not yet have a public correction form; use the support email on the Contact page.
Affiliate separation
Affiliate relationships will be disclosed clearly. A commission opportunity does not determine a recommendation, and future commercial pages must not imply personal testing or guaranteed outcomes without evidence.
